Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD DALE O'DONNELL 1946 - 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Gerry on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg. Gerry will be sadly missed by his sister Pat and brother-in-law Jim Horoshok; sister-in-law Wendy O'Donnell; sister Kathy and brother-in-law Bruce Dwornick; brother Michael O'Donnell, nieces, nephews and many friends and family. Gerry is also missed by his best friend Sky. Gerry was predeceased by his parents Bill and Kathleen O'Donnell, brothers Billy and David. Gerry was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the Elmwood area. He worked in the printing and construction business. Gerry loved to go fishing, hunting and on camping trips to the lakes of Manitoba. Gerry was always willing to help anybody in any way he could. He would give you the shirt off his back. Special thanks to the staff of 3-West at Concordia Hospital, especially Nurse Justin who did everything he could to make Gerry comfortable. At Gerry's request, there will be no formal funeral. A luncheon will be held for Gerry's family and friends on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 541 Cosmos Place F Block from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Gerry's passing. We first met when we worked together doing the race track program. We became fast friends. He was able to make the work a pleasure. I have sweet memories of those days that will forever be with me. He was a true friend and gentleman. Gerry, rest well bro.
